ONLYVERSION speaks and translates your language: English, Spanish, French and Portuguese. English Lessons: the classes are tailor-made for each student depending on the situation and extent of his/her knowledge. However, each student follows a different program, depending on his/her interests. We have regular lessons for all levels including conversation, listening, pronunciation, reading, writing, programs for travel, conferences, exchanges, moving countries, university courses, job interviews and language examinations (TOEFL, Cambridge, Masters, Doctorates, etc.). Immersion: we also work with immersion programs where small groups of students spend the day using the language in different ways. Portuguese for foreigners: we teach Portuguese for foreigners who wish to learn the language for various reasons. Translation: we translate into and from English, French, Spanish and Portuguese, both within and outside of Brazil. We also offer lessons via computer, where the student doesn’t have to leave his/her home or office. He/she could be anywhere in the world, as is the case with foreigners.
Created by Joze Silva, English teacher and translator with 15 years’ experience, ONLYVERSION came into being to bring together people, knowledge, culture and information in a relaxed and friendly way. Behaviour, which is not in adherence to this ideal, will not be welcome on the site.
The classes can be either taught individually or in small groups at our office in Pituba, the student’s office/home or even in the supermarket or shopping centre, depending on the student’s interests.
Young people, adults and senior citizens
The Portuguese for foreigner teachers are experienced and qualified in both Portuguese and English.
Lessons are prepared according to students’ needs and interests. In each case they are based on learning simple, up-to-date vocabulary, with an emphasis on practising dynamic communication so that each student gains confidence in a short space of time.
Material used comprises books, dictionaries, CDs, DVDs, music, short texts from newspapers and magazines, as well as audio-visual resources.
We have a range of key questions and answers, which assist professionals before their job interviews, as well as helping them create their own answers based on their area and experience.
Save time: lessons in English and Portuguese for Foreigners can also be provided via computer so that the student doesn’t need to leave his/her home or office. In this case he/she should have a reasonable knowledge of the language to be able to cope with conversations with the teacher and on-line material.
Lessons start at 8.00 am and continue until 9.30 pm (Monday to Friday); 8.00 am to 6.00pm on Saturdays and 8.00 am to mid-day on Sundays.
Extensive and varied, according to students’ needs and program followed, the material comprises books, CDs, tapes, grammar, jokes, poems, music, stories, extra exercises in grammar, conversation, listening and pronunciation, magazine articles and foreign newspapers.
